About Main Street Art
Thank you for your interest in Main Street Art. Mainstreetart.net is a joint venture of Carolyn Ferrell of The Center for Cultural and Professional Development and Jeff and Lucinda Phillips of CAD Enterprises.
Mainstreetart.net was created to fulfill a need of artists to sell their work. Local markets are often insufficient to support a large number of talented artists. A web site provides a perfect venue for artists to show and market their works to a global audience. A web site also provides potential customers with a way to browse the works of many artists without having to travel to galleries and shops. From anywhere in the world the works of participating artists can be perused and purchased.
Although created by and for a group of artists in western Kentucky, the site welcomes artists from anywhere in the world to establish a presence in the mainstreetart.net gallery. There is an artist application on the site. Once accepted, artists enter their own biographical information and post their works. A commission is paid when works sell.
Occasionally Main Street Art hosts live events to showcase the works of participating artists. These events will be posted on the Calendar page of the site.
